About Us

Established in 1949 by the visionary Reginald Skerton, our company has deep-rooted traditions in the construction industry. With a strong commitment to quality and a focus on skilled labour, we quickly grew to employ over 150 personnel, setting the stage for decades of remarkable achievements.

In 1971, the torch was passed to Deryck Skerton, who guided the company for nearly four decades until his unfortunate passing in 2009. Today, the legacy continues under the capable leadership of Gary and Paul Skerton, his grandsons, who joined the ranks in 1984 and now serve as the company’s Directors.

Our primary focus has been on commercial contracts with the NHS, local schools, and councils. With a track record spanning a quarter of a century, we’ve successfully completed projects ranging from a few thousand pounds to multi-million-pound endeavors.

Safety is our utmost priority. We are fully insured for Employers and Public liability, with a comprehensive policy covering up to £10 million. This ensures that our clients have peace of mind, knowing that we are dedicated to safeguarding both our workforce and the public.

Craftsmanship Excellence

In 2007, we took a significant step forward by establishing our own joinery workshop. This facility enables us to create bespoke fabrications, further enhancing the services we offer to our valued clients. It’s a testament to our commitment to excellence and quality.

Housing Development Expertise

Diversifying our expertise, we also own and manage a Housing Development Company, registered with the NHBC. Recently, we completed the construction of four stunning new houses in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire. These residential developments showcase our dedication to quality and innovation beyond our commercial projects.
